Simple Home Bedroom Refresh Ideas
Is your bedroom feeling a bit blah? It might be time for a home bedroom refresh!

How to create an easy home bedroom refresh
Our bedrooms are our sanctuaries, a place to relax and recharge.
And if your bedroom is feeling drab or boring, there are some simple ways you can give your space a new look without breaking the bank. The key is to keep things simple.
You don’t have to do a full renovation or buy a whole lot of new bedroom furniture to breathe new life into your space!
Here are some easy ideas to update your bedroom in a weekend or even in a day!
Change the paint color
One of the easiest ways to refresh a home bedroom is with a fresh coat of paint.
Whether you decide to repaint the entire room or just add an accent wall, the change in color can make a huge difference.
If your bedroom is already light and calming, explore changing things up by painting the walls one of these best moody paint colors for a touch of drama.
And if your bedroom is currently dark and moody, change things up with a light, warm white or a calming color like a soft blue or green.

Update your bedding
New bedding can completely transform the look of your bedroom AND make you feel completely pampered!
Choose a duvet cover or comforter in a pattern or color that coordinates well with your wall color. Layer it with cozy throws and a mix of textured pillows.
Then, switch out your sheets for something fresh and crisp…there’s nothing like sliding into a bed with new sheets!
Re-arrange your furniture
Sometimes, all your bedroom needs is a new layout.
Try moving your bed to a different wall. If it doesn’t make sense to move your bed, try adding a little chair and creating a cozy reading nook.
We added a boucle chair and small side table in the corner of our primary bedroom and it’s now my favorite spot in the room!
These simple changes can make the room feel new. Plus, you might discover a layout that works better for your space.

I created a little corner bedroom reading nook with this boucle chair, side table and floor lamp.
Add greenery
Plants can do wonders for your bedroom’s vibe. Not only do they add a splash of color, but they also improve air quality.
I personally love the way an olive tree looks in a corner of a bedroom. But you could choose other smaller plants too. Choose easy-to-care-for plants like snake plants, pothos, or succulents if you don’t have a green thumb.
Or Place them on your nightstand, dresser, or windowsill for an instant refresh.
Change your lighting
Lighting can make a big difference in the way your bedroom feels.
Swap out old lampshades for new ones, add a corner floor lamp, get some flameless LED candles for your nightstand, or change out an old ceiling fan for a glam chandelier!

Declutter and organize
A clutter-free bedroom feels more peaceful and inviting.
Take some time to declutter your space and organize your belongings.
Invest in some stylish storage solutions like baskets, bins, or under-bed storage so you’ll actually be inspired to organize!
Update your wall art
Changing up the artwork on your walls is an easy way to give your bedroom a new look.
Get some new framed artwork to hang over your bed. Or create a gallery wall with a mix of different photos or prints.
We have a Samsung Frame tv, and I’m always switching the selected art print that displays on the tv!
The key is to choose pieces that suit the aesthetic of your bedroom and make you feel happy.

Incorporate a new scent
Don’t underestimate the power of scent in making your bedroom feel fresh and inviting.
Choose a new candle, essential oil diffuser, or room spray in a scent you love.
Lavender, eucalyptus, and vanilla are ideal scents for the bedroom because they promote relaxation.
Add a new rug
A lot of people underestimate the power of an area rug!
If you don’t have a rug in your bedroom yet – get one! And if you do have already have a rug, consider swapping it out for a different color or pattern.
A new rug can add warmth and texture to your bedroom. Choose a rug that complements your existing furnishings and paint color to tie everything together.

Change up personal touches
Your bedroom is your sacred space and it should have decor that makes you feel all the positive feelings.
Add personal touches like framed photos, your favorite books, or souvenirs from your travels to your nightstand or dresser. These little details make your space uniquely yours and add a sense of comfort and familiarity.
Refreshing your bedroom doesn’t have to be expensive. With these simple updates, you can create a cozy space that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.
